Solo Camping for Two Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation in July 2025

Main staff and key staff revealed for series based on seinen camping-themed manga

olo Camping for Two, a camping-themed seinen manga by Yudai Debata known in Japan as Futari Solo Camp, is being adapted into a newly announced TV anime. The main staff, key cast members, a teaser visual (above) and a teaser trailer (below) have been revealed for the series, which will broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and other stations beginning in July 2025.

In Solo Camping for Two, voice actors Daiki Hamano and Mizuki Niizaki play the leading roles of Gen Kinokura and Shizuku Kusano, respectively.

Kodansha serializes the original Solo Camping for Two manga in their Morning seinen manga magazine. Jun Hatori directs the TV anime at animation studio SynergySP. Aya Satsuki provides the series composition as well as the scripts alongside Mitsuho Seta and Ouka Tanizaki, and Shota Kowashi provides the music.

The hit manga series “Solo Camping For Two”, created by Yūdai Debata, has surpassed 3 million copies in circulation. Following the announcement of a live- action drama set to premiere on January 9th on TOKYO MX, fans were thrilled to learn that the series will also be adapted into a TV anime, scheduled to air in July 2025. Alongside this announcement, a teaser key visual and teaser trailer have been unveiled.

The story centers on Gen Kinokura, a devoted solo camper who treasures his solitude. During one of his usual camping trips, he unexpectedly crosses paths with Shizuku Kusano, a total camping novice. What starts as an accidental encounter evolves into an unusual partnership, as the two embark on what can only be described as “solo camping for two.”

The main cast has also been revealed: Daiki Hamano will voice Gen Kinokura, the seasoned solo camper, while Mizuki Niizaki will play Shizuku Kusano, the enthusiastic beginner who insists on becoming Gen’s apprentice. Hamano shared his excitement, stating that he loves portraying passionate and earnest characters, making Gen a joy to bring to life. Meanwhile, Niizaki expressed her eagerness to learn about camping alongside Shizuku, promising an authentic and heartfelt performance.

The teaser visual captures a serene and picturesque moment, with Gen camping amidst nature’s grandeur and Shizuku approaching him with curiosity and determination. The teaser trailer provides a glimpse of their fateful encounter, setting the stage for the story’s unique blend of humor, charm, and heartfelt moments.

To commemorate the anime adaptation, Yūdai Debata has released a special illustration featuring Shizuku and Gen celebrating the exciting news.
